Stretch Armstrong & The Flex Fighters Wiki

Old Town is a recurring location and a major part of Charter City.

Overview[]

Old Town is a run down, underdeveloped borough of Charter City. Sporting a seedy reputation and widely regarded as the underworld of the world's fastest growing mega-metropolis, it serves as the home turf of the City's worst gangs and crime families.

Location[]

Old Town seems to be located south of Charter City's wealthy Business District, near the less prosperous Docking District. Old Town's buildings appear dilapidated and ancient, with massive warehouses taking up much of the space. There seem to be no significantly tall buildings in Old Town, with the tallest structure being around 7 stories tall - nearly nothing next to the monolithic skyscrapers of Charter City's wealthy boroughs. It's heavily implied in "The Gangs of Old Town" that Rook Unlimited never bothered to industrialize and innovate Old Town like they had done for practically all other boroughs of the city, indirectly leading to its slum-like appearance during present day.

Population[]

Old Town plays host to Charter City's most powerful and dangerous gangs and crime families. The corrupt police force stationed in Old Town was completely ineffective at stopping crime, allowing the gangs to gain full control over the run-down borough. Due to the lawless nature of Old Town, the denizens were forced to weather hundreds of gang wars, fought by power-hungry criminals seeking control over their own slice of Charter City's underworld. The five most major players dominating Old Town in present day are the the Made Men (Smokestack's old gang), the Stick Shifts, the Daggers, and the Sables.

The worn-down reputation of Old Town also made it an appealing place for Dr. C and Blindstrike to set up their hideout. Malcolm Kane also grew up in this part of the city, ashamed of it and his past as a gang member.
